1800s Home Reimagined With Pastel Hues and Colorful Wallpaper

This historic 1800’s Frank Furness home received the ultimate transformation. On the first floor, the kitchen was relocated from the center by the stairs to the back of the house, and a powder room was added. The third floor was reimagined, as well, providing access from the primary bedroom to the new bathroom and adjoining new walk-in closet.

Multicolored Eclectic Foyer With Blue Lamp

Unnecessary walls were taken out to open up and expand the foyer. Now, it greets homeowners and their guests with joyful color, from the dainty wallpaper to the floor's red and blue mosaic tiles. The home's original leaded glass window stands out beautifully against the bright shades.

This sitting room is now like a cheerful conversation, bold colors and patterns talking together with easy grace. Trimmed in white, the arched French door is a striking point of contrast, delicate and lacy with its leaded glass windows.

It's impossible to feel down amidst the kitchen's cheery pastels. Michelle Gage chose light blue for the cabinets, peach pink for the backsplash, and lavender for the French door. Instead of a built-in kitchen island, she brought in a simple wood table.
