About

Interior designer, real estate, stager, design concierge, bathroom and kitchen specialist.  Kathleen Perkins does it all. A graduate of Cornell University, Kathleen has emerged as an expert and veteran design professional who has developed multi-million dollar projects from conception to completion.  During her decade-long stint at Waterworks in Manhattan, she collaborated closely with eminent architects and interior designers throughout NYC as the “go-to” resource on top-notch bathroom and kitchen renovations.

Kathleen offers a Design Concierge Service, lending her personal assessment of any space and offering an extensive referral base of professionals to benefit owners.  An expert stylist, Kathleen has, at her disposal, an exclusive list of general contractors, and other artisans that she can refer at special rates.  Or she can stage a property to sell, based on her experience in the real estate market.

During her time at Waterworks, Kathleen worked with many bold-faced names, and learned directly from top architects and interior designers: Robert A.M. Stern, Mariette Himes Gomez, David Anthony Easton and Eric Cohler, among many others.  In addition, and very importantly, Kathleen has personally gutted and renovated six brownstones in the last seven years, and still lives in her latest project, a 19th Century Carriage House in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.  A combination of original restoration and Asian influence, the property has been a feature of home tours in Fort Greene since 2009.

Kathleen grew up in Soho, Tribeca and California with her father, a Hollywood writer—exposed to galleries, artists and entertainment professionals of every variety, which has informed her design sensibilities.
