Perfectly Midcentury Mod
By pairing layered geometric patterns with vibrant pops of color, designer Ashley DeLapp was able to create the ideal midcentury-modern dining room setting. The round table is flanked by chairs decorated in a yellow geometric pattern, while the gray trellis wallpaper provides a striking contrast to the otherwise bright color choices. Natural light shines from the multiple windows that line the space.

Textured Accent Pieces
A canary-yellow armchair is given pops of texture from a pillow with rainbow polka dots and the gray trellis wallpaper design that serves as its backdrop.

Gather 'Round
While DeLapp's initial plan was to use a banquette with a long oval table for dining room seating, she realized it wasn’t the best solution since it wouldn’t allow room for a storage piece. The designer instead chose the Platner table because it was round –– allowing for an easier flow in the small space –– and fitting for the midcentury-modern theme.

Extra Storage Space
The dining room's credenza not only allows for storing extra items, but serves as a furniture accent piece. Geometric lamps decorate the top of the piece, along with beautiful floral arrangements.

Modern Lighting
A dodecahedron chandelier hangs over the dining room's round table. Notice how the light fixture mimics the shape of the lamps on the credenza and reinforces the wallpaper's funky pattern.
