Before: Bare Bones
The master bedroom was completely gutted, leaving designer Ashley DeLapp with a clean slate for creating a new space.
Funky Side Tables
Striped side tables made from two-toned wood are finished off with contemporary red lamps, adding to the red and black color palette of the room.
A subtle gray area rug lends an artistic touch to the space without going overboard. The rug's plush design adds a bit of texture to the flooring area.
A gold contemporary mirror sits above the room's dresser, serving as not only a place for touching up makeup, but an artistic piece that adds depth to the overall space.
While window treatments are often understated, DeLapp's choice of red-, black- and white-striped drapery serves as quite a statement piece in the bedroom's overall design.
Red, Black & Chic All Over
The end result of this eclectic space is perfectly chic. Black walls are trimmed with white molding, while striped drapery and side tables add texture to the space. Patterned pillows set off the neutral tones of the bed and dressers.
The circular, almost ruffled, texture of the white dresser is accented by brushed gold hardware.
A gold contemporary light fixture took the place of the room's once ho-hum ceiling fan.
