DIY Nail Polish Remover Jar
Make nail polish removal way easier with a nail polish remover jar. All you need is a jar with a lid, nail polish remover, and of course, a sponge. First, roll the sponge and place inside the jar. If the sponge is too large, cut it down to size. Next, pour nail polish remover into the jar until the sponge is completely submerged.

To remove nail polish, stick your finger inside the sponge and gently scrub. Replace the lid after every use.
Seal Envelopes
Licking envelopes can be a thing of the past with the help of a damp sponge. Dip a corner of the sponge in room temperature water, and run it over the edges of the envelope.
Reusable Dryer Sponges
Dryer sheets are not eco-friendly, and costs can add up quickly. Instead, use reusable dryer sponges. Place sponges in a sealable plastic container and soak them in a plant-based fabric softener to create a long-lasting product.
Pin Cushion
For avid sewers, pin cushions can fill up fast. If you find yourself running short on space, grab a sponge to serve as a substitute.
Plant Care
Don't kill another plant. Add a little soil to a pot, followed by a sponge and top with more soil. The sponge retains moisture so you won't have to water as often.
Save Your Floor
Prevent scuffs by cutting sponges to fit underneath furniture feet. Double-sided tape may do the trick, but if not, hot glue the sponge into place.
Odor Eliminator
Baking soda is one of the best ways to get rid of smells, and it works best when it's close to the source. Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda on a sponge, and place it in your vegetable drawer.
Ice Pack
Place a damp sponge in a plastic baggie and leave in the freezer until solid. Place in a lunchbox to help keep food cold until meal time. It also works great for boo-boos.
Soap Saver
If you're running low on soap, cut a slit into a sponge and insert what little you have left. Lather up your hands with the sponge — it will preserve the soap but give you just enough to wash your hands.
