Bermuda is a hardy, drought-resistant grass perfect for high traffic areas.

This finely textured turf grass is a full-sun variety and will thrive in hot weather and under drought conditions. Because this hardy grass does very well in high traffic conditions, it is a popular choice for use in parks, golf courses and sports fields.

Climate

Thrives in warm Southern states.

Sun/Shade

A full-sun grass. Shade intolerant.

Water

Drought-resistant and requires little water for survival, but in an absence of water will turn brown and go dormant until adequate water becomes available.

Pros:

Establishes quickly
Grows in many soil types
Drought resistant
Survives under high traffic
Outcompetes weed growth

Cons:

Can be invasive
Performs poorly in shaded areas
Dormant under 50 degrees, turns brown until warm weather returns
