For the Love of Toby

Eight-year-old Mollie loves her fur-brother, Toby, so much that she wanted her bedroom to be a happy place to spend quality time together. Mollie also loves aqua and pink, so those became the main colors in the space. For a playful touch of whimsy, the main light fixture boasts fun paper flowers.

Portrait Session

In addition to being one of the bedroom's inhabitants, Toby is also the main subject of its art installation. For one-of-a-kind portraiture, a studio photographer captured the golden retriever's sweet likeness during a photo session. The images were printed onto large format photo paper and hung with dowels and twine.

Feeding Time, Anytime

When the family dog claims a bedroom as its own, it's smart to include a water and food bowl in the space. Instead of walking to the kitchen or mud room, this ensures Toby stays hydrated and well-fed during long play or snuggle sessions.

Shared Storage

To make space for sleepover buddies, the bedroom is outfitted with a pair of aqua Jenny Lind-style beds. A single chest between the beds maximizes storage without creating clutter. The empty space below is excellent for shoe storage.
