Lakeside Camp Entry

To enhance the vaulted ceiling in the entry, reclaimed beams and barn board were added. To balance that textural warmth, the V-groove below has a warm grey wash on it, and dark charcoal on the doors and windows adds lovely contrast. Repeating that same desire for contrast, the lighting is bronze and iron tones, topping off with a mirrored star in the vaulted area.

Tall, Rustic Fireplace in Cozy Living Room

The architect created a tall, grand space for the living room. To make the tall space feel cozy, all ceiling planes were covered with barn board and reclaimed beams. What really makes this space amazing is the massive fireplace, anchoring the room. With all those natural tones, the client didn't want the space to be all neutral, so a colorful rug became the starting point to build the palette, bringing in green chairs for fun.

Lakeside Kitchen and Living Space

The architect created a tall, grand space for the living and kitchen space. To make the tall space feel cozy, all ceiling planes were covered with barn board and reclaimed beams. Those materials are repeated again on the island, wrapping around the base. To anchor the kitchen, large lanterns were brought in as a way to define the kitchen area and fill the volume.

Lakeside Living Room With Reclaimed Wood Beams

The architect created a tall, grand space for the living room. Splashes of color in the furnishings and accessories work well with the neutral palette. The use of the reclaimed beams truly showed off the artistry of the builder, Ron. Knowing that the reclaimed beams would be a focal point, designer Kristina Crestin brought in a dark door and window sashes to add a bit more dimension.

Lakefront Kids Bedroom Features Built-In Wood Bunk Beds

A classic color palette of red, white and blue, this lakefront kids room suits boys and girls alike. Built-in wood bunk beds flank the custom staircase that leads to the top bunks and provides needed storage.

Built-In Bunk Beds With Storage

Room to sleep is plentiful in this kids bedroom. Multiple built-in bunk beds offer storage underneath the bottom beds as well as the steps leading to the top bunk beds. A patriotic color scheme adds a fresh, coastal vibe to the space.

Wooden Ladder & Bright Red Chair in Lakefront Kids Room

A long wooden ladder is used as decor to enhance this coastal-themed kids room. A bright red chair and an American Red Cross framed print complete the design.

Guest Bedroom With Queen and Twin Bed

A clever use of a small footprint, designer Kristina Crestin came up with the idea to put a queen sized bed together with a twin bunk bed, thinking a family could fit into the small space. To the right of the queen bed, a closet holds essential storage. Black pipe fittings provide a safety component to the twin bed, but also add a little industrial flair.

A budget-friendly pine V-groove in a semi opaque wash on a warm grey was chosen for the walls so they wouldn't compete with the barn board ceiling.

The guest room was a great space to have a little fun, pairing some fun, white animal heads with a found vintage chair. Layering elements to add to the story of the space.

Guest Bathroom With Reclaimed Wood Vanity

To add some variation to the guest bath, the designers chose a chartreuse green tile color for the shower space and paint color for the sink room. For some warmth and age, barn board was used on the ceiling, and a local maker built the cart that serves as the vanity.

A pop of light turquoise coordinates so well with the chartreuse. Above the faucets are bypassing medicine cabinets that also have electrical in them, hiding toiletries and adding more storage.
