Before + Afters: Modern Farmhouse Kitchen

August 21, 2018

This kitchen had great bones, but the old cabinets and blue island had to go. Blissful Abode Interiors swapped the Spanish tile for a beautiful marble backsplash and then added floating shelves and oak floors for a farmhouse feel. Black barstools complete the setting and create an eat-in counter.

Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Design

The overall vision for this home's spaces was modern farmhouse, so designers chose a beautiful oak hardwood floor to run throughout the main areas of the house. Then, they brought in a lot of white and marble, helping to make the spaces feel timeless and classic. Finally, warmth was added to the home through gold and black accents and wood details that really brought the rustic farmhouse feel to life.
