Parsnip and Carrot Pumpkin Characters
Kids will love creating a family grouping of these pumpkin characters. They'll add a fun, personalized touch to a Halloween-decorated foyer or front porch.

Materials Needed:
- a variety of pumpkins (one to represent each family member)
- parsnips and carrots
- sharp knife and cutting board
- black craft foam
- scissors
- toothpicks
- hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- black permanent marker
- hats, sunglasses and other accessories
Wash Parsnips and Carrots
Scrub off any dirt or debris clinging to the carrots and parsnips, and choose one or the other to represent each family member's nose.
Cut Off Veggie Tops and Insert Toothpicks
Use a sharp knife to cut off the top of each carrot and parsnip, and insert a toothpick into the cut ends.
