How to Use an Electric Sander to Refinish a Picnic Table

Before you get rid of an old picnic table, consider refinishing it. Start by removing any old paint. You could use chemicals, but weathered paint can often be taken off by an electric sander. Many sanders have different grades of sandpaper. Start with lower grades and work your way up to a smooth finish that will make the table look like new under a fresh coat of paint.
