Step 1: Gather Ingredients
This cleaning spray gets its fantastic fragrance from essential oils. We combined lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus, and rosemary with unscented soap and Borax to create a cleaner gets the job done without the harsh odors that come with some store-bought products.

Step 2: Add Borax
Keep it simple by mixing up the all-natural cleaner in the distilled water container. Pour out 8 ounces, to make space for the ingredients. Start by adding six tablespoons of Borax- it's an odorless, natural mineral compound that can help disinfect surfaces and boost soap's effectiveness.

Step 3: Add Castile Soap
Next, add six tablespoons of unscented castile soap to the container. This gentle, but hard-working soap originated in Spain and is traditionally made from olive oil.

Step 4: Add Essential Oils
Now you can add your favorite essential oils into the mix. We added 40 drops of lavender, 20 drops of eucalyptus, 20 drops of peppermint, and 10 drops of rosemary. When you’re done adding the oils, replace the cap and give it the bottle a shake. And if you like a little citrus zing in your clean, try your own combination with lemon, lime, or wild orange essential oil.

Step 5: Transfer to Spray Bottles
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, add a cute label, and use frequently to maintain your “spring clean” throughout the year. Make multiple spray bottles for different areas of the house, so you always have it close at hand.

Step 6: Start Cleaning
It's gentle enough to use on most countertops, furniture, and floors. PRO TIP: Always do a spot test first in a hidden area, to be sure it's safe for the surface.
