Potted Weber Agave

A potted weber agave plant stands as a modern accent in the gravel walkway in front of the garage. “There are different types of agave, but we went with a weber because it has smooth edges on its leaves versus the agave Americana that has jagged edges and looks a little less inviting, so it is a beautiful signature piece in front of the house,” says house planner Jack Thomasson.

Smart Door Opener

A revolutionary garage door opener guarantees entry even when the power is out and offers quiet operation and a timer-to-close feature. An internet gateway device can also connect the garage door opener to the internet, enabling smart phone control.

Savvy Control Panel

A menu driven smart control panel can program remote controls, adjust light settings and display garage temperature, time and system diagnostics.

Wireless Keyless Entry System

A keypad is provided on the garage exterior as an additional option of entry.

Two Fairdale bicycles designed by Austin bikers for the streets of Austin are stored smartly in the garage bike rack to conserve space.

“We deliberately kept the garage very clean for it to feel like it contributes to the contemporary nature of the house,” says house planner Jack Thomasson.
