The spacious patio with zones for cooking, eating, entertaining, and relaxing outside has a beautiful design inspired by the home’s mountain setting and natural landscape.

Tranquil Water Features

Two ponds and the waterfall incorporated into the patio’s design create reflections, help keep plants alive, and bring a sense of tranquility to this appealing outdoor space.

Natural Surroundings

The waterfall adds movement and a relaxing sound to this outdoor escape. A bridge over the ponds and waterfall connects the patio to an elevated lounge area, for relaxing in the sun.

Elevated Lounge Area

Steps lead up to the lounge area with curved retaining wall. This enticing spot includes four modern lounge chairs, with solid acacia wood frames in a teak finish. Water-resistant detachable polyester blend cushions on the lounge chairs provide comfort.

Modern Mountain Style

The handcrafted throw pillows on the lounge chairs in rich, warm colors feature a decorative blanket stitch on the outer edge, and a lodge-inspired pattern.

Colorado Style

Boulders flank the stairs that lead up to the lounge area. “The boulders were brought in so that the hardscaping would look very Coloradoan, and look like it’s been there forever,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Durable Pavers

The stairs up to the lounge area include durable pavers that have the look of quarried limestone, at a fraction of the cost of natural stone. Double-sided texture and two unique faces on the rise allow the steps to be rotated for optimal aesthetics.

Special Spot

A wide view of the lounge area highlights this special spot, that sits elevated from other parts of the patio. The lounge area is located above a firepit area, outdoor kitchen, dining space, and the door that opens to the main kitchen inside the home.

Coordinating Curves

This cozy seating area with gas firepit a few steps down from the lounge area includes sectional sofas that mimic the curved lines of the firepit and added retaining wall that partially encloses the space.

Modern Planters

Tall and distinctive planters on the patio add greenery and help define the seating area around the gas firepit. Crafted from weather-resistant magnesium oxide, the modern planters have a square tapered design and sleek look.

Cozy Seating

The four-seater beige and brown sectional sofas are constructed from weather-resistant resin wicker, for long-lasting durability. Cozy plaid-patterned throw blankets on the sectional sofas help keep guests warm on chilly nights. Lightweight black lanterns by the sofas with flameless LED pillar candles provide easy-to-move illumination where you need it.

Versatile Wall System

The wall system used to create the firepit can also be used for retaining walls, freestanding walls, columns and steps. The simple installation and beautiful look of the product makes it a great choice for many outdoor projects.

Comfort and Style

The equestrian-inspired wool throw pillows on the sofa include a graceful horse silhouette and scallop edging. The fade and stain-resistant sofa cushions are made of a soft and lightweight beige woven olefin fabric.

One with Nature

Custom plantings with materials and soil from local nurseries follow the curved lines of the retaining wall. The lush landscape that frames this mountain escape helped inspire the selection of the nature-inspired colors and materials used for both the inside and outside of the home.

This sweeping view shows the firepit area’s close connection with a cozy outdoor dining area, that offers a spot to enjoy al fresco meals cooked in the patio’s luxe outdoor kitchen.

Quaint Spot

This quaint dining area with outdoor table and beautiful bucket armchairs feels cozy and private but sits close to a door that opens to the main kitchen inside this spectacular Colorado home.

Dine in Style

Teak wood was used to craft this round outdoor dining table with beautiful taupe finish. The UV-resistant solid wood table includes an umbrella hole in the middle, for protection on extra sunny days outside.

Attractive Armchairs

The bucket armchairs around the table have powder-coated aluminum frames wrapped in polyester fiber. The comfy chairs are topped with cushions with machine-washable covers.

A covered galley-style outdoor kitchen off the dining area creates an instant gathering spot for your next party.

Versatile Poufs

Versatile green indoor/outdoor ottomans with cushion provide extra seating for large patio gatherings, or a spot to rest a book or tray. The stylish poufs have a modern Scandinavian vibe, and feature a cross-sectioned stitching design and textural touch.

The efficient layout of the outdoor kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals and serve guests. Dishes, linens and trays can be stored within arm’s reach, eliminating trips to the main kitchen inside the home.
