Pewter green walls provide a rich backdrop for this open living room with tons of natural light and an airy feel. “Instead of going white or light, we decided to really punch up the whole Colorado aspect here with this green,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Artist Karen Musgraves was commissioned to create the living room’s bold dinosaur wall art, with colors found in the nearby Red Rocks Park. “Colorado, especially this area here, Morrison, is known for having a ton of dinosaur fossils,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn. “It’s a velociraptor who is out fly fishing and has caught a prehistoric fish.”

The living room’s two gray upholstered sofas with recessed arms each offer seating for three, with large reversible cushions filled with foam and sinuous springs for a supportive seat. A cozy green throw on each sofa coordinates with the rich color of the walls.

A round black nesting table with tray top and three legs by each sofa includes a tan/sage fabric table lamp with drum shade. The stylish lamps with a three-way switch provide light for reading, while also adding color and texture to this stunning open living room.
