The Hunt for the World’s Most Private Island
The island expert becomes island hunter! Chris Krolow, host of Island Hunters, is on a mission to build the world’s most private island. With the help of a former client, he’s searching in three different countries for the ideal location. Here’s a sneak peek at what he finds in Belize’s Gladden Caye during his epic island adventure.
Gladden Caye, Belize
Not far from the island developed by Chris’ former client, David, this locale is ideally located.
Booming Belize
Belize’s ultra-romantic islands are quickly becoming the newest tropical hot spot, with celebrities and travelers flocking to the Caribbean for a piece of the pie.
Lap of Luxury
Chris and David plan to develop a private resort on the island for their families and guests to enjoy in the middle of the Caribbean Sea.
Gladden Caye Potential
This island is on the market for $1.2 million and also includes a smaller island with about a half-acre of land for developing staff houses and storing necessities like solar panels and generators.
Total Privacy
Though stacked with plenty of natural vegetation and mangroves, the Gladden Caye island is largely untouched.
Room with a View
The island offers an incredible view of the Mayan mountains about 20 miles away and of the Belize Barrier Reef.
The Decision
Will Chris and David choose Gladden Caye as their locale for the most private island in the world? Catch the season finale of Island Hunters on Sunday, Sept. 3, to see which one makes the cut.
