The men were tasked with transforming two of the smaller bedrooms, reimagining this space with rich dark wood tones and layered greens for a refined, cohesive look. Thoughtfully styled vignettes earned praise from surprise guest judge and former Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, who appreciated the elevated details, while Tyler offered one critique, noting that the fixed bunk ladders limited flexibility and didn’t fully maximize the compact footprint.

Dubbed “The Santorini Room,” this compact space sparked debate among the judges. Dean championed a blue-and-white palette inspired by the Greek isles, but opinions were split on whether the finished look read as breezy and coastal or veered a bit too childlike.

The men’s terrace embraces a minimal, refined aesthetic, with ample low-profile seating designed to showcase the sweeping California mountain views. Layered greenery and subtle striped pillows introduce texture and a touch of color, adding warmth and dimension to the otherwise understated retreat.

Although the home can accommodate 13 guests, the shared bedrooms felt tight, prompting the women to design a more functional space without sacrificing style. They installed custom bunk beds along either side of the fireplace, complete with rich green drapery for added privacy, and they pushed them flush to the walls to open up more room for lounging and getting ready. The thoughtful redesign definitely impressed Hannah, who remarked on how much larger the space felt after the transformation and ultimately chose this as the winning design for week one.

Designed to accommodate six women getting ready at once, the bedroom required smart, space-saving vanity solutions. Petite vanities added to either side of the room deliver essential prep space and functionality without sacrificing valuable floor space.

With emotions often running high during filming, creating a serene escape was essential. The newly refreshed terrace just outside the bedroom now serves as a breezy retreat and the perfect place to sip morning coffee, unwind and recharge away from the cameras.

After saying goodbye to Chris, the competition heated up in episode two as the remaining contestants split into teams of three to tackle different sections of the iconic Rose Room. Tammy, Noah and Brendan reimagined the bar and wine cellar with Roman clay shelving and a sleek, newly showcased wine wall. Guest judge Christina Haack (The Flip Off) praised the updated rack, noting it finally gave the rose ceremony the dramatic backdrop the space had been missing.

The Roman clay walls and custom shelving sparked debate among the judges. Tayshia praised the textured finish, especially paired with the subtle rose artwork, while Tyler felt the overall execution lacked the impact the space needed.

Joan, Sam and Courtney joined forces to reimagine the iconic candle room, long known as the show’s intimate setting for one-on-one moments. Their goal was to evolve the space into something more functional for larger gatherings while preserving its romantic feel. While the judges wished the candle element had taken center stage, the refreshed design earned overall praise for its elevated, inviting atmosphere.

Instead of lining an entire wall with candles, the team chose a more layered approach, installing arched bookshelves thoughtfully styled with candles and curated accents to create warmth and depth. Christina praised the refined look, noting it was a design she’d happily incorporate into her own home.

After much debate, Allyshia, Jill and Dean took a bold risk by introducing a statement wall mural to bring instant drama to the living room. The gamble paid off: The judges were impressed, naming it the living space the week two winner, with Christina calling the refreshed color palette a major upgrade overall.

After Tammy’s departure, the remaining contestants divided into two teams to overhaul the mansion’s outdoor areas for episode three. Brendan, Dean, Jill and Sam focused on the upper level, a poolside space frequently featured on the show but never fully realized as a true retreat. By introducing comfortable lounge seating and vibrant umbrellas, they transformed the once underwhelming setup into a polished, resort-inspired escape.

Guest judge and former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher was especially impressed with the upgraded seating, recalling that during her season, contestants had little more than towels to lounge on. Tayshia echoed the praise, noting the revamped space now feels like a five-star resort, which is a worthy upgrade for one of the franchise’s most recognizable backdrops.

Following a major demo, the outdoor kitchen was completely reimagined with a pizza oven, grill and prep space designed for seamless poolside entertaining. Tyler appreciated the convenience of grabbing a quick bite by the pool but admitted he’d hoped to see the team take more risks with the design.

Noah, Courtney, Joan and Allyshia transformed the lower level into a thoughtfully designed wellness retreat, ultimately earning them the win for the week. Complete with a dedicated workout space, an outdoor shower framed in breezeblocks and a striking sauna, the redesign introduced a restorative element that had long been missing from the high-pressure setting.

With its stone elements and natural textures, the wellness retreat feels organic and elevated. Tyler loved how intentional the design felt while still delivering on function.

After episode three, the designers said goodbye to Brendan saying goodbye to Brendan and shifted their focus to the mixer room for a high-stakes showdown. Competing in teams of three, each designer took on a specific zone while working toward a cohesive final vision. Joan transformed the entertainment built-in into a hidden bar concealed behind handmade artwork that opens to reveal a polished setup. The judges praised the creativity but felt the design may have included one element too many.

Though it wasn’t initially embraced by her teammates, Courtney took a bold risk with vertical terracotta tile at the fireplace. The move paid off. Guest judge Nate Berkus (The Nate and Jeremiah Project) called it his favorite feature in the entire room, praising the subtle midcentury modern influence as a confident and successful design choice.

Noah designed the credenza area shown here, impressing the judges with the stone backsplash and countertop, though Nate noted he would have liked to see an added element, such as a vintage mirror, to help draw the eye upward.

Dean handled the furniture and decor, while Sam focused on the walls and ceiling. Tayshia appreciated how the layered tones in the furnishings added depth while still feeling cohesive, and Nate was especially drawn to the darker ceiling beams. Though Tayshia noted the room could have used a few more furnishings to feel fully finished, the judges ultimately named the men the winners.

A surprise twist awaited the final contestants (Sam, Noah and Dean) when previously eliminated designers Courtney, Chris and Tammy returned to the mansion for a chance at redemption in the fifth episode. Each was tasked with designing an outdoor bar, with the winner earning the opportunity to stay and compete in the finale.

Courtney’s design, “Liquid Courage,” blended elevated finishes with more relaxed elements. Judges admired several details, including the gorgeous green tile, rattan barstools and gray countertops, but ultimately felt the mix of upscale and rustic styles didn’t quite align with the mansion’s overall aesthetic.

Chris’ Caribbean-inspired bar, “Dark & Stormy,” earned praise for its strong functionality. Guest judge and former Bachelor Sean Lowe even noted it was a bar he’d happily saddle up to. Still, the judges ultimately felt the beachy aesthetic didn’t quite fit the mansion’s overall style.

Tammy’s bar, “Smoke & Rose,” incorporated arches, wood fluting and sage green tones to echo the mansion’s interior redesign. The layered textures and natural finishes created an elevated lounge atmosphere reminiscent of a chic hotel bar. While Tayshia noted she would have liked to see a bit more personal expression, the sophisticated design ultimately stood out and earned Tammy a spot in the finale.

In the finale, the competition took an unexpected turn when Dean lost the crate challenge and was sent home early. That left Tammy, Sam and Noah to tackle some of the mansion’s most underwhelming spaces, with only the two strongest designers advancing to redesign the kitchen. Tammy refreshed the dated entryway with a calming Mediterranean-inspired look, adding practical seating and creating a far more welcoming space.

Sam was tasked with turning the Santorini Room into the relaxing, practical retreat the judges had envisioned. He replaced the bold blue-and-white palette with softer neutrals, added functional elements like a desk that doubles as luggage storage and repositioned the bunk ladders to create more usable space.

Despite a strong redesign, Sam’s space, which was playfully dubbed, "Sam-torini," wasn’t enough to secure him a spot in the final kitchen showdown. Still, both Tayshia and Tyler praised his work, commending him for transforming a once chaotic room into a well-appointed and highly versatile bedroom.

For the final transformation, Noah and Tammy tackled the mansion’s long-overdue kitchen renovation. Despite being one of the most used spaces in the home, it hadn’t been updated in over 20 years. The pair collaborated on major finishes, with each adding their own design moments. The judges, including guest judge and actress Rachel Bilson, were especially impressed with Noah’s shelf styling and loved the bold red tile he selected for the wall.
