About

Really, it is about our clients, who come to us with a vision, often a vision they’ve been dreaming about for years. We, at Studio 6, give that vision style. We give that vision a home.

Brian Muehlbauer

A graduate of University of Arizona, with a B.A in Architecture, and a Construction Certificate from UC Irvine, Brian has more than 20 years of experience in the design and construction of high-end residential projects.

From California to Nevada, Maine to Hawaii, Mexico to the Middle East, his attention to detail – and his attention to his clients – has resulted in turning dreams into homes. A steep desert grade, a beautiful ocean view, morning light – the unique features of the property his clients select are married with the client’s lifestyle.

A major component of Brian’s design philosophy is the project’s impact on our natural environment. From the solar orientation of a site to the sustainability of the construction materials specifications, every detail of a project is analyzed in order to minimize its effect on the planet, yet still provide the client with an aesthetically pleasing design solution.

Because of this focus on sustainability, Brian was selected to design a demonstration project in conjunction with the City of Anaheim and the Building Industry Association that will be used to compare construction costs, material selections, indoor air quality and resource and utility consumption of two identically designed homes. One home will be built to meet the current California Energy Coe and the other will be built to achieve Zero Net Energy status. The homes will be monitored over a two year period and the data will be used as an educational tool for local government officials, building industry personnel and local students.
