Functional Cooking Area

The cook can pivot and easily access the warming drawers in the island directly behind, saving steps and keeping serious work out of the refrigeration zone.

Pro-Quality Stove

A big hood is needed to vent the large 60-inch commercial-style Electrolux range, but it looks less overpowering with its wood encasement and tiled backsplash with “La Leaf” design in copper and antique copper.

Simple Task Lighting

A trio of glass pendants dresses up the hard-working kitchen and adds important artificial light because of the room's placement somewhat below grade. The cabinetry is a mix of cherry with natural stain and a painted finish in linen white.

Extra Workspace and Storage

In the butler's pantry, a secondary workspace and additional sink makes clean-up a breeze when company means many more dishes. The countertop is Roja Alicante marble.

Neutral Color Palette

The mix of materials on the countertop and along the backsplash work because the palette is the same rich orange, similar to the Benjamin Moore metallic wall paint, and offset by a large expanse of off-white linen painted cabinetry.

Entertaining Made Easy

Similar glass lights on a track were used in the butler's pantry where more storage behind illuminated glass fronts, plus recessed cans, makes finding everything for company easy.
