About

Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris Home principal and lead designer, Linda McDougald has an extensive background in design, marketing, public relations, and advertising, and has used that vast experience to create one of the most admired businesses in the Upstate.

Linda’s passion for design and a love of the fast-paced business world compelled her to open Postcard from Paris in 2000 with friend Meredith Kinsey.  The business is headquartered in Greenville, SC in the West End, which has evolved into what has become the celebrated postcard locale of the city. And the risk was met with great reward.  Thanks to a drive and pursuit of excellence that is extremely rare, Linda has built the business into one of the leading design firms in the Southeast and a leader in sustainable design. An allied member of the American Institute of Interior Designers, Linda is also certified GreenAP through the Sustainable Furnishings Council.

Linda counts among her strengths the ability to surround herself with extremely talented and dedicated individuals and she has done so in her design and ecommerce teams, attracting the highest qualified designers and others with degrees in interior design, architectural design, and art history among others. To date, the work of the firm has been published in countless national and local publications and has received numerous awards, including recognition through the American Society of Interior Designers, American Institute of Architects, and Southern Accents magazine. The firm was also selected by and featured in Turner South’s “Best of the Best” Blue Ribbon television series. Possessing a client list that reads like a who’s who across the country, Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris Home has also been selected by political figures, professional athletes, and corporate leaders. The firm was also chosen to design Southern Living magazine’s first green showhome, which was located at Furman University.

As the lead designer of the firm, Linda is involved with all aspects of the business as well as every design client of LMD|PFPH. During the past decade, Linda has created a firm that is simply considered the best with a reputation that precedes it and results that rightly demonstrate that position. Her constant quest for new and innovative ideas along with her business acumen provide her with fresh insight and an ability to continuously improve and distinguish the firm.

Named as one of Greenville’s “most influential,” Linda has long been a leader on the community service front as well, co-founding and serving as executive director of For Our Children, a three-year campaign that raised $500,000 for local child-focused organizations. She is also co-founder of the annual Moonlight & Magnolias event that benefits the American Cancer Society. Linda was a founding board member of Artisphere, serving two terms on the board of this international arts festival that has received national recognition and has developed into one of the country’s most renowned arts events, and served as a member of the Metropolitan Arts Council board and the GHS Children’s Hospital Development Council as well as on the Charity Board for the Rose Ball.  Profiles in City People, City Mom, Greenville At Home, and Luxury Home Quarterly have showcased the incredible successes of this businesswoman while capturing the dedication and commitment she has to her children.

The expertise, relationships with clients, and business savvy that Linda possesses have enabled her to gain the trust and confidence of her clients throughout the country. Such confidence has fostered opportunities and relationships that have led to the continuing success of LMD|PFPH. In fact, she is now taking the business to the next level with expansions to the SC coast, a second location in Greenville, and launch of an extensive ecommerce venture.
