Modern Entry With Custom Built-In Bar

Upon entering the apartment one is welcomed into an open space housing the living room, dining area and a feature bar wall. This bar wall was custom-designed to add more storage to the apartment and cater to the client's love of hosting and entertaining guests. White upper cabinets contrast the wood finish on the lower cabinets, creating an aesthetic accent. LED accent lighting highlights one of the homeowner's favorite paintings.

Custom Contemporary Bar

A custom bar wall unit graces the open layout for the entertainment areas including the living and dining areas. Wood lower cabinets contrast with the white walls and upper cabinets. Mirror was used as a backsplash to create a sense of depth and reflect the interior lighting. To the right, shelves, storage and an artwork display provide further function to the unit.

Dark wood paneling behind the refrigerator and ovens contrasts against the white used in the cabinetry and countertops. The double range hood was selected for its maximized function, as well as for its modern, sculptural look.

Sleek Modern Kitchen in White

The kitchen forms the heart of the apartment, offering ample seating, a large countertop surface, bright lighting and an open format. The kitchen was completely reconfigured from the original layout: walls were knocked down, cabinets were relocated and new ones custom-made, and state-of-the-art appliances were installed. Everything was kept white and glossy to maximize natural and artificial light.

Living Room Features Mirrored Console Table, Custom Art

Adjacent to the dining area is a feature wall dedicated to a custom art piece that extends beyond the borders of the canvas. This piece by Fabio Mesa creates a unique accent and pop of color in the space. An acrylic base provides a modern transparency with the perfect shade of blue. A custom console table below was designed in a mirror finish to further reflect the painting and not detract from it.

Stylish, Contemporary Dining Room

A square, wooden dining table offers a nice view while comfortably seating eight guests. The apartment's floor plan influenced the design of the dining space as an intimate space within the open layout. Custom mirrors visually highlight the dining area and reflect light, the beautiful outdoor views and the sculptural pendant light.

Contemporary Living Room in Gray and White

The open layout created an inviting and spacious environment for a large living room and dining room. The overall color palette was kept neutral, emphasizing various tones including taupe, stone, beige and ivory. These colors were used on accent items including the silk wall covering, area rug and pillows.

The master bedroom was converted into a luxurious, serene haven with a color palette consistent with the rest of the apartment. A light wood floor was used in this space for an airy feel that is softer than the marble in the rest of the home. A white area rug complements the upholstered bed frame and modern white nightstands. Chrome pendant lights add a hint of glamour and just the right amount of accent light.

The older daughter's room features a lot of custom elements. A custom drywall panel was added to create an accent element and finished with a black-and-white patterned wall covering. The contemporary room has a white palette with chrome accents and shades of purple throughout. A built-in desk has ample shelving while a large mirror sliding door conceals the closet space across from the bed.
