This outdoor space features a vintage metal and stained glass screen that the designer, Grant Henry found on Craigslist and immediately made a road trip a couple of states over to pick up. Eye-Catching Bowls

A wave of colorful dishware adds a pop of personality to the blank beige walls. Dishes are smart choice for outdoor art because they can withstand humid weather, they can be painted to match your outdoor furniture, and they can be very affordable.

Paint Outdoor Wall Art

No need to stare at a plain fence or privacy wall, paint a patterned backdrop that will add interest anytime of year.

Framed With Drapery and Plants

Taupe-toned outdoor drapery and hanging plants pull the eye upwards and add a sense of privacy to this homey space, making it a great spot for the casual get-together.

Surf Ceiling

If your outdoor space is covered, don’t forget to decorate the ceiling. These surf boards look ultra cool suspended up above, and the ceiling is just a handy place to store the boards.

Yard Divider on the Edge

This privacy wall is artistic and unique in itself, but the addition of beautiful artwork makes this outdoor space a showstopper.

Outdoor Succulent Wall

For a dramatic outdoor space, colorful Plexiglas panels are used to divide this rooftop deck. The panels not only look great, they provide privacy and a little shade. Design by HGTV fan PHLpavilion.

Planter Boxes

Spilling over with fresh foliage, hanging planter boxes are ingeniously used to create a privacy screen for this outdoor conversation area. Hanging plants are a great way to ensure privacy while allowing a space to remain open and airy, just what you want for comfortable outdoor entertaining.

Etched Window Panels

Decorative windows provide privacy without offending the neighbors or blocking out natural light the way a full-blown wall would.

Outdoor Shiplap Style

The paneled privacy wall gives this open-air space a cozy vibe.  The multi-colored panels and turquoise lanterns break up the monotonous tones.

Upcycled Window Wall

Old windows are used to extend the height of a backyard brick wall. The windows help give this outdoor pizza kitchen it's super cool industrial vibe.

Add Something Fun

Hanging plants help frame this outdoor space while straw hats and cheery pops of bright color lend a touch of whimsy.
