3 Budget-Friendly Facelifts

If you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor space but don’t want to spend a lot of cash, we have three makeovers inspired by three different countries — Mexico, France and Morocco — to help get some ideas flowing. We used existing furniture and simply added accessories, plants and curated decor to completely transform the look of this patio.

Before: Versatile Basics

Start off with a few key pieces, and don’t be afraid to use the furniture you already have. Double-duty pieces are always a great idea too, such as these two wicker stools that can also be used as side tables or put together as one coffee table.

Look #1: Mexico

Bright colors, patterns and cacti all work together to create a patio inspired by the vibrant spirit of Mexico. Layered rag rugs and a traditional chiminea also help to set the scene.

Lively Accents

Fun details bring some personality and vibrancy to the outdoor space. A colorful pom pom garland is simply strung across a vintage easel and paired with a large succulent plant. On chilly nights you can hang cozy blankets on the rungs of the easel to switch up the look even more.
