Start a Garden in Your Bathroom
Make a gorgeous shower caddy garden with help from Steve Asbell, author of Plant By Numbers, using little more than an orchid, wire shower caddy, bath sponge and air plants.
Step One: Cut the Loofah
Use scissors to cut the bath sponge where it bunches together and unravel the material.
Step Two: Line the Caddy
Line the shower caddy with the bath sponge.
Step Three: Wrap the Orchid Roots
Wrap the bath sponge material around the roots of the orchid.
Step Four: Secure the Orchid
Place the orchid in the caddy and use a twist tie to secure the stem.
Step Five: Add Air Plants and Hang
Add other air plants, fill in with orchid bark, give it a good drink of water and attach it to the wall.
Enjoy
Shower caddy gardens look—and smell!—a lot better than decorating with shampoo bottles and soap.
