Learn how to preserve flowers and create dried flower shadow boxes.
Gather Your Supplies
For this craft you will need: shadow box / dried rose petals / cardboard / burlap / scissors / glue dots.
Cardboard Backing
Cut the cardboard backing to the size of the shadow box.
Add Burlap
Cut a piece of burlap to fit on the cardboard backing and glue it into place using multiple glue dots.
Dried Rose Petals
Rose petals can easily be dried by removing the petals from the stems and placing them in a bowl in a dry location.
Glue Dots
Select a rose petal and add a glue dot to the back.
Form the Shape
Continue adding glue dots to the back of individual dried rose petals to form the heart.
Full Heart
Fill in the heart completely with petals.
Box It In
Place the rose petal heart in the shadow box and reassemble the box according to the manufacturer's directions.
