Ingredients + Tools

  • rolling pin
  • baking sheets
  • parchment paper
  • stainless steel straw
  • twine

Mix Ingredients

Mix flour, salt and black pepper in a bowl (Image 1). Slowly add warm water into the flour mixture to form dough. Keep adding water until all the salt and flour are combined and a smooth dough is made. Mix and knead the dough with your hands (Image 2).

Roll + Bake + Enjoy

Next, roll out the dough with a rolling pin about 1/4'' - 1/2'' thick. Then use moon and stars cookie cutters to cut out the ornament shapes (Image 1). Use a straw to punch a hole near the top of the ornament shapes for the twine to go through. Place ornaments on a baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes at 300 degrees Fahrenheit until they harden (Image 2). Once done, thread a piece of twine through each ornament to create the garland and display on the mantel (Image 3).
