To mimic the humidity of a greenhouse, try planting your seeds in a used egg crate and then sliding the crate into a recycled bread bag. With proper water and sun, you’ll see green in no time!

Start your seeds in a recycled (and transparent!) milk jug. Simply cut the top off, fill with soil, add your seeds and some water in the bottom, and replace the top. The jug will keep humidity in while allowing plenty of indirect light to grace your little seedlings.

If you already have a planter you are starting seeds in but want to double down on the humidity, simply cut the top off of a 2-liter bottle and slide the bottom over the planter.

Upcycle a rotisserie chicken container into a mini greenhouse by poking drainage holes in the bottom and air holes in the top and filling with soil. Plant and water seeds and place the top back on. Now just sit back, and soon you’ll be enjoying the fruits of your labor!

If you don’t want to bother with poking drainage holes, or you simply don’t have a rotisserie chicken container, a berry container will work just fine. Best of all, it comes with drainage holes already installed. Simply plant your seeds and watch them grow.
