Tour a Pink Victorian Home in Texas Decorated for Christmas

Though my family has lived in this house almost 40 years, it is often referred to as The Aaron-Harris House, which is what the Texas Historic Landmark on the front of the house says. During the holidays, the festive decorations spill onto the porch.

My daughter and I both love to visit this colorful family home for the holidays.

My mother collects a lot of things, and Santa is one of many. The large Santa drinking Coca-Cola in the center of this collection actually came from my grandfather's Troup, Texas, grocery store, Moore's Food.

Pastel bottlebrush trees look cozy on the Victorian table, nestled into mismatched antique silver serving dishes and covered in mercury glass balls.

Old toys from Christmases long ago get a new lease on life from my mother, the constant collector. This vintage fire truck has been converted into a festive centerpiece.

Originally from Germany, these paper Putz houses are a fun collection. Most were made in Japan. Often, you can find fun modern-day reproductions to make your own snowy village.

The decorations on this mantel was custom made by my mother to match her collection of pink Bristol glass and Victorian lusters.

The kitchen Hoosier cabinet is transformed into a winter wonderland each holiday season. More Putz houses, bottle brush trees and a handful of vintage Santa collectibles complete the look.

The formal living room is as distinctly Victorian as the outside of the house. This particular year, the tree was decorated with sweet treats to reflect the outside of the house with its pink color.
