Turn Your Front Door Into a Harvest

Turn fresh magnolia leaves into cool door decor with spray paint, hot glue, and a wreath form. (Find the complete DIY instructions for the wreath here.) Use similar paint colors to make a coir doormat feel fall festive. (Find the complete DIY instructions for the doormat here.) Apply custom peel-and-stick vinyl numbers to a patch-grown pumpkin to help guide guests to your place, then load the rest of the porch with more pumpkins and gourds. Doormat: Basic doormat, $25, worldmarket.com; House numbers: Custom 6"-tall removable numbers in sparkly font, $1.50 each, vinylwallexpressions.com

Make Your Entryway More Cozy

Transform vegetation into decoration—and give your entry an instant autumn vibe. Display gourds, mini pumpkins, and sheet moss under glass cloches. Round log slices, with the rough-hewn bark intact, serve as the bases. (Just make sure the veggies are 100% dry before you cover them with the domes so they don’t get moldy.) Also fun: Temporarily swap out the hardware on a console or dresser for knobs shaped like foliage. Cloches: Glass bell jar domes, $30 for a mixed set of 2 (large is 15 3/4"H x 9"-diameter), save-on-crafts.com; Wood tree rounds: Natural birch slabs, from $9 each, lightsforalloccasions.com; Knobs: Atlas Homewares Leaf 2"-wide zinc knobs in rust, $6.50 each, build.com
