Materials Needed:

  • plain black headbands
  • black card stock or craft foam
  • white card stock
  • scissors

Cut Out Patterns and Form Cone

Download and print witch's hat template, attached above. Cut out the circle and cone shapes. Trace the patterns onto black card stock or craft foam then cut out. To create cat ears, cut black triangles and smaller white triangles from craft foam or card stock (Image 1). To create the witch's hat, glue ends of the cone cut-out together with hot glue (Image 2).

Assemble Witch's Hat and Cat Ears

Glue the cone to the top of the cut-out circle to form a witch's hat (Image 1). Embellish with a band of bright green ribbon and a plastic spider (Image 2). Finally, glue the hat to one side of a headband. For the cat ears, glue the white triangle layer to the black triangle, then use hot glue to attach the ears to the center of the headband (Image 3).
