Materials Needed:

  • glass bulb ornaments
  • 1 tablespoon floor finish (per ornament)
  • ultra-fine glitter (in desired colors)
  • funnel

Prepare Ornament

Remove metal cap from tops of glass bulb ornament.

Add Floor Finish

Use funnel and pour approximately one tablespoon floor finish into the glass ornament. Make sure to pour against the side to avoid bubbles. Swirl liquid around inside ornament to cover entire surface area. Pour excess floor finish back into bottle.

DIY Glittery Christmas Ornament

Homemade Christmas Ornament

Designer Robin Baron pours approximately 1 tbsp of floor finish into a glass bulb ornaments and swirls to cover the entire surface area. The floor finish will give glitter a sticky, tacky surface to bond to.

Add Glitter

Use funnel to pour generous amount of glitter into ornament. Twist ornament around. (Glitter should cover all inside surface areas.) Pour excess glitter back into bottle. Wait approximately 10 to 15 minutes before placing cap back onto ornament.
