Decorative Detail
The board and batten detailing on the base of the peninsula is one of the architectural details that gives this space character. “It’s in the same wood and finish as the cabinetry above,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn. “We have this massive ceiling, so I wanted something for your eye to go to that was lower, so it wouldn’t feel so cavernous.”
