Congratulations to Lois Anderson of Detroit, Michigan! She is our proud winner of the HGTV Urban Oasis® 2018, a grand prize package valued at over $750,000.

“No one needs to pinch me because I haven’t stopped pinching myself,” explains Lois.

Lois’s name was randomly drawn from over 65 million entries to the sweepstakes. After touring the home and entering twice a day almost every day at HGTV.com, she was drawn to the home’s Cincinnati location since it’s relatively close to all her family in Michigan.

Lois missed a few initial calls from HGTV, but after a little persistence from our team she soon realized her dream had become a reality. “I was so excited,” she says.

Being a “new cook thanks to Food Network”, the mother of two and grandmother of nine most admired the green, open-concept kitchen. She also fell in love with the spa-like master bath and its generous walk-in shower and soaking tub.

Riding three separate busses to her overnight job as a patient sitter at a local hospital, Lois said she’s had a lot of time to dream about winning the home. Though she’s not completely surprised by her windfall. “My sons were a little skeptical when I shared the good news with them, but they know I’m a big believer that the impossible can happen!”

Lois is still in shock and looks forward to enjoying her life-changing winnings with family and friends.
