A large steel console provides dining room storage while doubling as a bar. “Between the dining room and the kitchen there needed to be some kind of transition, so I accomplished that with a heavy steel, air craft-style console table that holds a lot of things you don’t want to see,” says Brian.

A locally-sourced painting effectively ties in all of the colors used throughout the house while also referencing Asheville’s rural surroundings and emphasis on farm to table dining.
