From the Outside In

This home, especially the living room, is all about creating one seamless transition from the outside to the inside, all with a Texas-style design. “Even though we had amazing furniture and an incredible house, we wanted to bring in the outdoors,” explains interior designer Linda Woodrum. “There is an amazing amount of windows that really make this part of the outside.”

Subtle Design

A great mix of patterns and textures comes together to create one cohesive, stylish space. “The living room is very subtle,” explains Linda. “It’s more about the textures and the subtle variations that wrap all around the room.”

Fabulous Accent Pieces

A sculptural table lamp and a few patterned pillows bring plenty of interest to this gorgeous living room while still keeping with the subdued nature of the room.

LED Lighting

Throughout the home, recessed can lights illuminate the space. According to house planner Jack Thomasson, “We have really great hip designer lighting around the house. We have somewhere between 42 and 45 can lights in the house. All of the decorative fixtures throughout the house use LED bulbs, including the candelabra bulbs above the dining table and all the lamps; so we have a complete LED story here.”
