This bold and exciting gathering space is packed with comfort and style.
Yellow and orange pillows add a punch of color that complement the vibrant painting.
From streaming music to arming the security system, everything in the home is controlled via tablet or smartphone.
Two round martini tables, with a distressed metal finish, introduce a layer of modern elegance into the space.
"It all came together with the artwork," says interior designer Linda Woodrum. "When you come up the stairs, the painting explodes."
A soft, houndstooth rug anchors the living space, which is defined by a collection of furnishings — both modern and traditional in design.
One of the home's two portable security cameras monitors the den, allowing parents to keep a close eye on kids while attending other tasks in the home.
Blue piping detail lines the plush white sleeper sofa for an elegant look.
Cloche pendant lighting illuminates the space. Antiqued globes subtly distort light, creating a whimsical display.
The vibrant blue wall color can also be found downstairs on the kitchen cabinets. To add depth carpenter David Brown created a graphic wall treatment by painting and securing wood panels on top of wall-board.
Furnished with a flat-screen television, the kids' den offers a spot to watch movies and play video games.
The harmony of textures and colors continues into the hallway, where a locally sourced painting pops against the white wall.
