A touch of Hollywood glamour in the home theater transforms the traditional entertainment room into a center for family fun and activities.
A creamy oversized chaise paired with rust- and aqua-colored throw pillows provides the ultimate in comfort. "The first thing you want to do when you are watching a good movie is lie back and get a blanket and really get comfortable," adds interior designer Linda Woodrum.
Tiered end tables are grouped to create a center coffee table. Touches of silver and wood paired with picture books and a woven basket of seagrass and foxtails create a compelling tablescape.

The swiveling steel lamp, outfitted with a milk glass diffuser, can be positioned as needed and provides a soft glow in the space.
A 10-foot-wide natural wood cabinet serves as the base for a 58-inch Panasonic flat panel TV. A Blu-ray disc player and Panasonic floor speakers provide a theater-like experience.
A chic, comfortable and compact love seat is easily repositioned to accommodate family activities. A plush area rug contributes to soundproofing in this busy space.
Frosted glass doors, attached to barn door hardware, slide back and forth to provide privacy during show times.
Artwork is limited to black-and-white photography of the local landscape. Pictures, taken by carpenter David Brown, were printed and framed locally – a smart-chic way to dress the walls.
