A private guest casita serves up a stylish hardscaped patio with two fully reclining chaises topped with reversible cushions. A built-in gas fireplace – complete with custom surround and granite countertops – keeps the space warm and cozy on cool evenings.

Bordered by landscaped beds and illuminated by aged tin and mica sconces, the patio provides the perfect backyard escape.

A crushed-stone ground cover complements stones set in exterior pillars and will allow native grasses to seed in the area.

Sliding glass doors lead from the casita to the patio. Floor-to-ceiling drapery may be drawn to buffer sunlight or enjoy the view.

Interlocking Belgard pavers were used to construct a custom fireplace surround. SenSa Granite in Absolute Black by Cosentino serves as a countertop surface and provides additional seating in the space.

The patio gives way to miles of picture-perfect desert scenery.

The casita and patio were designed and sited to take advantage of Sandia Park sunsets.
