Just off the kitchen, the dining room from HGTV Dream Home 2015 is a bright, open area with stylish mixed seating and classic cottage charm.

HGTV Dream Home 2014

The 16-foot-wide dining space in HGTVs Dream Home 2014 feels voluminous thanks to 10-foot-high walls and a steeply-pitched ceiling featuring exposed structural beams. A wall of windows overlooks the front yard and floods the room with natural light. As interior designer Linda Woodrum chose fabrics for this room with a view, she was careful to stick with subtle patterns and solids that didn't compete with the outdoors. The flowy white draperies are mounted at the top of the wall in order to draw the eye up. A traverse rod operates on a pulley system to allow for easy adjustment.

HGTV Dream Home 2013

A braided rug anchors the dining area, where a trestle-style table, fashioned from mindi wood, becomes its own focal point. The vintage styling of all-weather woven armchairs recalls turn-of-the-century wicker patio furniture and when paired with modern upholstered side chairs lends visual interest.

Stepped out from the kitchen and surrounded by three walls of windows, the HGTV Dream Home 2012 dining area provides an almost outdoor dining experience. Bold ikat upholstered chairs and oversized windsor end chairs add visual interest.

Inspired by the natural landscape outside the HGTV Dream Home 2006, Linda chose woodsy browns, greens and creams to dominate the dining area with splashes of red and gold. The round dining table displays a charismatic centerpiece and offsets beautiful artwork.

HGTV Dream Home 2005

This rustic dining room is an extension of the great room in HGTV Dream Home 2005. A 10 foot long old lumber dining table and a mixture of traditional dining chairs with arm chairs brings an unexpected touch to a shabby chic space. All told, the dining space is perfect for formal entertaining, but with an easy, put-your-feet-up sensibility guests will embrace.
