They have four children, all in their 20s, who live in Texas so moving to a nearby island means the family will come and visit more often.

After living in California and now Tacoma, Samuel and Christina want to leave the city behind and return to the outdoor living that Vashon Island offers them and their two children. Luckily, Sam can work remotely so he won't face a daily commute. Since Christina will be busy with the kids, she can take advantage of time spent at the beach, on the trails, or out in nature. With this new island life, they are excited to slow things down and enjoy the moments as they come.

They fell in love with Daniel Island after Mike was offered a new job in nearby Charleston and Kendra secured a teaching position in the area. With sandy beaches, less traffic and more time for the family, they're excited for their quality of life to change for the better.
Jim and Helen both grew up near South Padre Island and have spent many vacations thereeven spring break during college. While living in San Antonio, they've traveled around the world but ultimately SPI, with its warm waters and sandy beaches, is where they want to settle down.
