A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Coastal

For this renovation Joanna and Chip were able to come up with a floor-plan and a decorating scheme that effectively merged elements of two basic styles to create an updated coastal feel with rustic accents. "The goal here," said Chip, "is we want the Jacksons to feel like they're on vacation every single day."

Whites and Wood Tones

Before

"The Ivy House," so-named by Chip for the ivy vines climbing the brick exterior, came with four bedrooms, three baths, 3400 square feet. It was built in the 1960s, is situated on a corner lot and has one important item on the clients' wish list: plenty of established trees. Prior to the renovation, however, the exterior was unspectacular, initially described by the clients as "Kinda dated; kinda sad."
