Disaster on the Second Floor, Chip Wade rehabs an uncompleted master bedroom renovation project

Peter and Allison bought a house midway through the renovation process of the second floor, tired of living in a construction zone, they call on designer/ contractor Chip Wade to complete the project. Chip creates a striking bath room for her, a huge picture window for him, and a custom moving bed.

A Barn to Dwell, Not Smell

The Jordan family moved from the city to the country and bought a barn that they want to transform into their dream home, the problem is no contractors will touch this project. Designer/ contractor Chip Wade saddles up for the challenge to design a space for both animals and humans to live in. He removes 2 of the horse stalls and the ceiling of the floor above to create a huge family room and kitchen with 30 foot ceilings, and a picture window looking out to the horse stalls.

Ground Control to Kitchen Command Center, Chip Wade Designs a Great Room with Reclaimed Wood Accents

Back from a 6-year stay in Alaska, Beth, Patrick and their four kids have become accustom to open space and have outgrown their segmented floor plan. Designer/ contractor Chip Wade wants to give Beth a great room where she can oversee the kids from her kitchen, "the command center". Chip tears out all the walls, positions the kitchen to face the living room, creates a custom brick wood fire pizza oven, and flanks the walls with reclaimed wood from old barn to give it a sense of warmth and history.

Chip Wade solves a family's dilemma to move with a kitchen/great room renovation

Tom and Beverly Maiellaro and their 3 boys have out grown their house and they can't agree on wether they want stay or find a new home. Designer/contractor Chip Wade wants to convince Tom that he can renovate the kitchen and living space to hold large gatherings. Chip starts with tearing down walls to create great room, and renovates the kitchen to accommodate Tom's cooking needs with a custom walnut and maple butcher block, a new pantry with a unique sliding counter top to hide messes when entertaining. and to keep the boys entertained Chip builds a den area with built in seating and storage.

Chip Wade designs a baker's dream kitchen/ great room that brings the family together

The Carroll's have three generations of family under one house of small closed off rooms. Nancy loves to bake, but the kitchen cuts her off from everyone else. Designer/contractor Chip Wade solves this problem by tearing out the walls to create a kitchen/great room to suite her baking needs as well as bringing the family together with a custom fireplace wall with a 9 foot fold down table, a walk thru pantry and a built-in wall oven.

Chip Wade Designs a Wine-Lover's Great Room that Both Parents and Kids Can Enjoy

The Overdyke's don't like the closed floor plan of their 70's style ranch home. There is no grown up space for them because the kid's toys are everywhere. They need a space to accommodate both kids and adults. Designer / contractor Chip Wade transforms their family room, sunroom and kitchen into one huge great room, with a new desk area with a wine cork backsplash, a wine sports lounge with a custom wine storage carrousel, and a built-in wall shelving unit with a ton of storage for the kid's toys.

Designer/ Contractor Chip Wade remodels a kitchen/great room full of family history

High school sweethearts Renee and Michael Wymer's house has a lot of history. Renee grew up in the house that they bought from her dad, but it's too small for their family of four. Designer/contractor Chip Wade reconfigures the house to better utilize the space. He knocks down all the walls between the kitchen, dinning room and outdoor porch to create a huge open and airy space. In the kitchen he installs new ceiling high shelving with moveable glass panels, and builds a beautiful sunken floor dining area with a custom dinning table that expands into the outdoor deck, and converts into outdoor seating.

Designer/contractor Chip Wade designs a professional home office that doubles as a den

Adam Redd works from home in a tiny office but the noise of his young children and barking dog is distracting him from his work, he needs a quiet space to focus. Designer/contractor Chip Wade designs a professional office that doubles as a den when Adam is not working. He rips out the room dividing fireplace and builds a new fireplace flanking the outside of the house, creating more space in the living room. And to fix the noise problem, Chip installs a custom sliding hardwood doors to block out the noise.

Chip Wade remodels an unfinished basement into a guest suite for long family visits and to brew beer

David and Kerstin Adelman often have family visiting for long periods of time so they want to use their unfinished basement as a guest suite and family room. Designer/contractor Chip Wade rips out the back wall and installs a glass panel window to open the space up. He adds custom milled wood paneling through out and since David loves to make home made beer, Chip has an electric brewing system installed.

The Jackson family wants to change their huge back yard into the ultimate gathering space to entertain their large extended family. Designer/contractor Chip Wade extends the living space outside where the kids and the adults can play, by extending the porch, installing a outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, soccer field and trampolines.

Chip Wade remodels a cavernous basement into a multi-use living space for foreign exchange students

Renee, and her daughters love hosting foreign exchange students, but haven't been able to since moving into their cramped space. Designer/ contractor Chip Wade turns their cavernous basement into a bright and fun living space for the family and their visitors to enjoy, with multi-level spaces for students to study and sleep.

Chip Wade Designs a Backyard full of FunSports Activities With a Sophisticated Italian Aesthetic

Vince and Cathy Zappa live on busy street and they worry because their kids play in front of the house because the backyard is a mess of dead leaves and pine needles. Designer/contractor Chip Wade solves this dilemma by creating an outdoor living space action packed full of sports activities with a sophisticated Italian aesthetic, complete with a new deck and dining area, and a play court with a life size chess board and movable basketball goal.
