Blue and White Dining Room With Floral Wallpaper
A classic navy-and-white color combination is taken to gorgeous new heights in this dining room. Blue wallpaper with an oversized floral pattern is a bold splash of pattern, tempered by the white lower half of the walls. To bring in more sophistication, the designer chose a dining set from Magnussen. Rug: Jill Zarin

Foyer Stairs With Walnut Railing
Can you believe these tasteful stairs were once orange? To transform them, the designer sanded the handrails and stained them with a dark walnut stain. Stairs and spindles got a coat of fresh paint, Benjamin Moore Simply White, that matches the hallway walls.

Neutral Kitchen With Oak Island
Part of this kitchen's visual interest comes from its layering of different woods: a dark wood floor and an island finished with oak. Over the island, an unusual vintage pendant light with a brass stripe around its middle is another eye catcher.

White Transitional Kitchen With Stainless Microwave
This kitchen doesn't come with a lot of natural light, so to make it feel brighter, the designer went with all-white cabinetry, quartz countertops and a light-colored backsplash. Wood floors and the island's oak finish bring in warmth.

White Transitional Kitchen With Floral Shade
In this kitchen makeover, designers decided to go basic (and affordable) with the cabinetry, replacing old doors and painting them bright white. The more luxurious touches were saved for the marble-and-limestone backsplash, new appliances and lighting. The pendant over the sink is vintage bronze with brass accents.

To add to this kitchen's practical features, the island was extended to provide more storage and was given a pull-out waste basket. The blue floral wallpaper spotted in the adjacent dining room is echoed by a similar patterned shade over the kitchen sink.

Brown Fireplace With Reclaimed Wood Mantel
The fireplace in the living room was completely redesigned. The surround was created with smooth brown limestone. Tiny limestone tiles decorate the top of the bench; the designer positioned them herself to make their varying shades as harmonious as possible. The mantel is reclaimed wood.
