Lauri Howell, among Southern California's most desirable interior designers, heads one of the region's fastest-growing and versatile full-service design firms. In addition to taking on design jobs in California, she also works on projects throughout the West Coast including Nevada and Arizona.
Lauri is one of the few designers who is renowned for specializing in both color and space planning. She stands apart from other designers in that she creates spaces that highlight each client's personalized aesthetic. While each space has its own challenges, Lauri commits to creating a one-of-a-kind interior.
Lauri graduated with honors from the Art Institute, San Diego in 2009 with a BS in Interior Design. She also won the prestigious Professional Portfolio Award in the Summer of 2009. She is an Allied Member of ASID and a member of NKBA.
Most recently, Lauri was chosen by DWELL Magazine to transform an empty unit at Met Lofts in downtown LA into something remarkable. This loft was featured as a part of the DWELL on Design Home Tours. Look for this space in the October 2013 issue of DWELL Magazine.
Lauri believes in giving back to the community and donates her designs skills to various great causes. In 2012, Lauri has worked with the non-profit organization Architecture for Humanity. Her current project with this organization is working with the Friends of El Dorado Dog Park to create a vision of what a piece of empty land in Long Beach will eventually become. A place where both big and small dogs can play with their owners, and where their owners can interact with nature as well as other dog owners.
Lauri has also worked with Habitat for Humanity and Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego in previous years.
