Living Room Shines With Jewel Tones
Thanks to its crystal chandelier, sapphire blue sofa and amethyst accents, this modern Fifth Avenue penthouse looks as elegant as a precious gem. Tall windows and low-level furnishings fill the space with natural light and showcase the stunning city views just outside.
Floral Accent Wall Blooms Behind TV
Blush-colored roses bloom on the opposite side of the space, creating a display that distracts from the sleek TV. A textured buffet below offers storage for DVDs and complements the room's metallic accessories.
Metallic-Infused Dining Area
For a truly polished look, architect Lauren Rubin continued those jewel tones into the open dining area. Here, four modern chairs with golden seats warm the white walls and create a luxe corner for entertaining.
Bright White Galley Kitchen
Around the corner, large cabinets and wood floors comprise the galley kitchen. To help the narrow space feel more airy and open, architect Lauren Rubin introduced large windows, recessed lighting and all-white furnishings.
Open Shelves, Clutter-Free Counters
Open shelves keep dinnerware in reach and ensure that the kitchen counters remain clutter-free. With space right beside the window, the owners can prep for dinner while enjoying views of the city below.
Hallway With Modern Chandelier
Rather than fill the hall with decor, designer Lauren Rubin kept the space minimal and allowed the modern chandelier to be the star. When placed against the room's white walls, the piece positively shines.
Master Suite Is Pretty in Pink
Spacious Closet With Double Doors
Closet doors inlaid with mirrors help the master bedroom feel even larger. With a chair just to the left, the owner has a spot to put on her shoes or store her jacket after a night out.
Built-In Shelves for More Storage
Pulling back those double doors reveals floor-to-ceiling shelves for shoes, clothes and even towels. Recessed lighting above illuminates the space for easy-viewing.
Retro Color Palette & Accents
With a white, black and pink color palette, this master suite seems to nod to the '50s. An antique chandelier, Art Deco console table and vintage poster further the retro feel.
Hallway Features Abstract Art
To help the master suite and its attached bath look more cohesive, the designers introduced abstract artwork that complements each space's color palette.
Edgy & Modern Master Bathroom
Where the master suite was soft and pink, the attached bath is dark and dramatic thanks to sleek black floors and cabinets. A marble backsplash in the shower adds interest to the room and accentuates its edgy look.
Stylish Vanity for Getting Ready
Sleek black cabinets and a faux-fur stool create the perfect vanity for getting ready in the morning. Sconces flank the mirror on either side to give the lady of the house plenty of light.
Soothing Blue Guest Bedroom
Neutral bed linens and minimal decor keep the second bedroom soft and serene for visitors. A wood side table and fresh flowers complement the blues and make the space feel a little more natural.
Guest Bath With Scale Backsplash
Down the hall, a small teal and white bathroom gives guests their own space to freshen up. Where white walls and a chrome sink make the design feel clean, a fish scale backsplash adds beautiful visual interest.
