To add storage without using standard built-in shelves or retail book cases, the designers of this home reclaimed solid fir posts from an old barn that had collapsed during a heavy snowfall. With a lot of sanding and teak oil the wood was beautifully transformed. The shelves are reclaimed oak and attached with angle iron.
