This modern, minimal kitchen and living space is enveloped entirely in white, giving the home an otherworldly feeling of weightlessness. Baseboards and cabinetry bases are recessed, making walls and furnishings appear to float. Clerestory windows in the kitchen bring in loads of natural light.
Before, this kitchen was dark, heavy and dated, with terra cotta tile floors, a chunky island and glazed cabinetry. The home underwent a total transformation to a minimalist space with a light, bright color palette and furniture that appears to float in the rooms.
Large-scale, suspended fixtures give this minimal kitchen a feeling of weightlessness, bringing its concept together. A cantilevered wood countertop at the island and bamboo-backed shelves add warmth to the space and break up the room’s white planes.
