Greg Blackband is our rock and fearless leader. Besides managing the Blackband Team of professionals, he is also responsible for running the business. He procures and endures and he is our warehouse manager, logistics and shipping guru, he’s in charge of customer service and quality control, he pays the bills, he writes the checks, he is our internal accountant, our CEO, CFO, COO, marketing manager, public relations liaison, works with all of our suppliers, vendors, while being responsible for staging projects, interior design projects and home tours.

Wendy Blackband is widely known for her eclectic take on coastal elegance. A California native and graduate of University of Southern California, Wendy grew up on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, CA. After extensive travels and life abroad in Africa, Europe, Australia and South America, she makes Balboa Island her home again today with her husband Greg and their two young children. The influences of seaside life are clearly reflected in Wendy’s style, and her eye for vibrant color and foreign culture punctuates her fresh and distinctive “coastal bohemian” look. Her husband Greg is from England and brings a refined European layer to their designs. A frequent guest lecturer at UCLA Interior Design and Architecture program, Wendy also mentors new designers and shares her best practices and methods. As the principle designer, Wendy oversees every project with a discerning eye and a hands-on approach to ensure every client feels comfortable throughout the process and is happy, happy, happy with the final design result.
