Antonia Mufarech

Bio

Antonia is a contributing writer for HGTV. She has lived all around — from Lima, Perú to Chicago to Florence, Italy — and is always adding new bullet points to her bucket list. When she’s not scribbling in her notebook or taking photographs, you can find Antonia reading poetry at a small coffee shop or listening (and maybe dancing) to salsa music on the treadmill.

Experience

Antonia interned at The Wall Street Journal’s WSJ. Magazine in New York City. Prior to joining WSJ, Antonia worked as a digital editorial intern at CNN en Español for six months, where she produced over 18 original video and written pieces in English and Spanish. Antonia also created, hosted and produced Meditation-able, an interview podcast focused on wellbeing.

Antonia’s work has been featured in various global publications including Vogue México y Latinoamérica and the Florentine, an Italy-based magazine. She has also produced a documentary and reported internationally, such as from South Africa for CNN.

Education

Antonia graduated from Northwestern University’s Accelerated Master’s in Journalism program and won the Harrington Award for Magazine, the school's highest award for graduate students. As an undergraduate student, Antonia double majored in Journalism and Psychology at Northwestern.
