Sprucing Up an Outdoor Living Space for Spring

This once-neglected deck is reinvented as a bright and cheery spot to enjoy warm-weather seasons with family and friends. To whip it into shape for spring, brand-new furniture, lush greenery and fresh accessories were added to the quaint living area.

Before the makeover, the living space was lacking in color, furniture and liveliness.

Adding fresh, springy colors to an outdoor space can be as easy as swapping out throw pillows. To outfit the area with layered pastels, the chairs and sofa were accented with mismatched pillows featuring playful, seasonal patterns.

Like color and pattern, texture is also important when designing an outdoor living space. To add texture to sleek and streamlined furniture, woven throw blankets in a springy shade of blue-green were added to the chairs and sofa.
